Why reviews ?When real estate is involved in a dispute or litigation, appraisals are often fundamental to the process. In the event of disagreements therefore independent reviews can be beneficial. For instance, while joint appraisals are common in Family Law proceedings results of the appraisal may not be satisfactory to all parties. In this situation a review of the appraisal may assist in settlement. In addition to general valuation work, reviews undertaken by a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada must be undertaking in compliance with the Canadian Uniform Standards of Appraisal Practice (CUSPAP)
